About FASTING
The core of the fasting plan is focused on consecration and prioritizing God. Start your day in prayer and devotion to set your heart and mind with God. Get yourself ready to fast each day. Fasting is a mindset. The scripture says in Matthew 6:17, when you fast anoint your head and wash your face and. It’s a mindset and the presence of God will come upon you to strengthen you for this time of sacrifice.
Fasting Schedule:
- Fasting Dates: Monday, Jan 8th at 6AM and concludes, Jan 31st at 3PM.
- Fasting Times: 6AM – 3PM on Weekdays, 6AM – Noon on Weekends
- No food, water only during fasting schedule.
- There are no food restrictions after the daily fasting times conclude.
If you desire to add a health component to your consecration, then follow a Daniel’s Fast menu each day when the fasting time concludes. A Daniel Fast menu includes the following:
- Eat fruit, vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, whole grains.
- Eliminate sweets and unnecessary sugars
- No beef or pork. If meat is needed, non-fried fish, chicken or turkey.
- Drink plenty of fluids (water and 100% juice). No caffeine.
About PRAYER
Besides the corporate times of prayer listed below, let prayer and spending time with God catch on fire in your life. You got it?! Pray every day, as much as possible. Fill your daily cup to the rim with prayer.
- Mondays – Friday: Morning Manna@6am, Online
- Saturdays: Corporate Prayer & Intercession@6am, In-person
- Sundays: 6am & 6PM, Online
About GIVING
On Sunday, January 28th, during our 10am Sunday Worship Service, we will receive First Fruits Offerings. First fruits are an offering to God of the increase in income that we receive. The motivation of first fruits is a free will offering that we offer out of generosity.
Specifically, First Fruits is the first portion of an increase in your life. So for example, if we get a raise at work, the first fruits would be the difference between your new salary or wage and the old one in the first month or first pay period. It’s the increase in pay that we will be earning moving forward over what we were getting. First Fruits are offered one time per increase but it is a faith offering that set’s the course for the future. The First Fruit offering says, “I have been increased and the increase will continue”. First Fruits” in Hebrew is “bikkurim” and literally means “promise to come.” By faith, set the course of this year in the beginning of the year with a First Fruits Offering!
